JUNE 2009: CONSULTANCY WINS REGIONAL AWARD
SR Portfolio has scooped a regional award for devoting time to support voluntary and charitable organisations.
The consultancy won the Business in the Community ProHelp Award 2009 at an East Midlands ceremony.
The prize - a certificate plus oak tree sapling - was presented to director Sandra Rose by Andrew Tubbs, chairman of leading law firm Shoosmiths.
Sandra later planted the sapling at the Business in the Community's Give & Gain Day where staff from local businesses came together to create an outdoor reading garden at a Nottinghamshire primary school.
Sandra volunteers her time and skills for all PR and marketing requests from Nottinghamshire community groups, delivers specialist workshops and participates in advice surgeries. The firm has contributed over 70 hours during the past 12 months, amounting to £4,500 of free support.
"As a business specialising in corporate responsibility this award recognises our huge commitment to supporting the local community,” said Sandra. “It was a great thrill to win."
